Minecraft Legends Deluxe Edition

I went in expecting a Minecraft game, and instead got a streamlined real-time strategy title where you command allied units to defend villages against piglin invasions. The core loop works: scout, gather resources, build defensive structures, summon troops, and execute coordinated attacks. It's competent enough for what it is, and cross-platform co-op means you can defend bases with friends across PC and console. The problem is depth. You're managing a handful of unit types and basic resource types, with progression that feels more like tutorial pacing than strategic arc. Solo campaign maps are forgiving, and multiplayer PvP has the bones of something interesting, but it never scratches the itch that proper strategy games deliver. If you want Minecraft's charm with tactical gameplay, this lands in an awkward middle ground. If you want real RTS mechanics, better options exist. It's not bad, just lightweight in a genre where weight matters.
