GamerScout Verdict
Decent VR novelty for one evening; lacks the depth or charm needed to stick around.

About Merry Snowballs
I picked up Merry Snowballs expecting either a hidden gem or a cautionary tale about VR physics toys. It's the latter. This is a straightforward arcade experience where you throw snowballs at targets and opponents in VR space. The mechanic works fine in short bursts, and the casual sport angle means there's no skill floor to worry about. But "fine in short bursts" is the whole problem. There's no progression system, no unlockables, no campaign structure, and minimal variety across play modes. It's the kind of game you load once to see if your VR controllers track properly, then shelve next to your Wii Sports copy. Unless you're specifically hunting for VR party fodder or have friends desperate for couch-free multiplayer novelty, there's not enough here to justify the time or space. Merry Snowballs is functional but forgettable.
