I went in skeptical about what "looking like the main character" actually meant, but Men against Lizards leans into a gimmick that most games would've abandoned after the pitch. It's a single-player adventure built around the idea that you're inhabiting the role rather than puppeteering a sprite. The lizard encounters and combat are straightforward, but there's something oddly refreshing about a game that skips the usual hero fantasy wrapper and just lets you play.
