About Mahjongg Investigations: Under Suspicion
I went in expecting a gimmick and found something surprisingly functional. Mahjongg Investigations treats its crime-solving premise as window dressing for straightforward tile-matching: you clear boards by pairing matching evidence symbols, and each cleared puzzle inches you closer to Don Diamante. The detective angle never goes deeper than that, but it doesn't pretend to. It's pure solitaire-style puzzle work with a thin noir wrap. The real question is whether you want to sink 10-15 hours into Mahjongg at all. If tile-matching is your thing, the organized crime framing at least makes the repetition feel less abstract than a generic Mahjongg game. If you need narrative depth or mechanical complexity, this won't surprise you. It's honest about what it is: a budget casual puzzler from 2008, creaky but harmless.
