More actual adventure game than most people expect, with item puzzles, a genuine mystery plot, and fully animated adult scenes as the payoff for players who put in the legwork.

My first assumption going in was that Lust Epidemic would be a thin visual novel with a few static images dressed up as a game. That assumption lasted about fifteen minutes. What NLT Media built here is a point-and-click adventure running on RPG Maker, with a real campus to explore, a genuine mystery to unravel, and a progression system that makes you earn every erotic scene through actual puzzle-solving and relationship-building rather than clicking through a menu. The setup drops journalism student Brad Armstrong into Saint Dame University, a rival college he gets stranded at when a hurricane cuts off all routes home. The campus is old, creepy, and full of locked doors, restricted areas, and characters with agendas. Gameplay works exactly like a classic point-and-click: pick up items, figure out where they apply, collect security access cards to open new wings of the building, and cycle through dialogue trees with a cast that includes students, a librarian named Amanda, and various other residents of the storm-locked university. A crystal ball hint system exists to nudge you when you stall, but several reviewers are honest that the game is still best approached with a walkthrough nearby, because some puzzle solutions are genuinely obscure and collectibles are hidden hard enough to be frustrating. The inventory can also feel clumsy during quest progression, which is a real friction point in an otherwise fluid experience. The thing Lust Epidemic does exceptionally well is production value for its category. NLT built all the 3D renders and animations himself, and the result is fully animated scenes rather than the static image slideshows that define most indie adult games. Characters show a range of expressions during dialogue. The adult content is locked behind relationship progression, so there is no shortcut, which keeps the pacing structured and gives the story room to breathe. The mystery itself, involving a lust-inducing serum, betrayal, and institutional secrets, is more engaging than it has any obligation to be. There is also a hard mode difficulty toggle, though importantly you cannot switch back to normal once you have moved on from it. The rougher edges are worth naming. Brad as a protagonist is difficult to like on purpose, which some players will find alienating. The campus music loops repetitively and wears thin over a full playthrough. Cutscenes reportedly cannot be skipped, which becomes annoying on any second pass. The RPG Maker engine also shows its seams occasionally, especially in pathfinding. None of these are deal-breakers, but players expecting a slick commercial release should calibrate expectations toward a high-effort indie product. If you want adult content and nothing else, there are faster routes to it. But if you actually want a functional adventure game that happens to be explicit, Lust Epidemic delivers that combination better than almost anything in its category. The story has enough momentum to carry you through the weaker puzzle moments, and the animated payoffs feel genuinely rewarding rather than pasted on. Alex, Scout Team

GamerScout Verdict

Worth it for players who want a real adventure game structure alongside adult content, not just a scene gallery with a story skin.
