A one-button territory grab where the only real enemy is your own appetite for a bigger slice. Two seconds of greed ends a ten-minute run.

Every run in Luminosity comes down to one decision made over and over: how far do you extend the line before you close it? You claim territory by drawing into open space, and until that line reconnects to solid ground you are completely defenseless. One touch and the run is over. That single rule turns this into a risk calculus rather than a reflex test. Small nibbles are safe and slow, which means the leaderboard is out of reach. Big sweeping claims are where the score lives, and where you die. I found my clear rate improved most when I stopped chasing the perfect cut and started reading enemy patrol loops for two or three cycles before committing. What it lacks is progression. There is no meta layer, no unlocks that change your options, just achievements, stats and Steam leaderboards to chase. Sessions run short, so it lives well as a between-things game rather than an evening. If you want a system to optimize over dozens of hours, look elsewhere. If you want a tight Qix descendant where every death is legibly your own fault, the loop holds up. Diego, Scout Team

GamerScout Verdict

Worth it for score-chasers who like a single clean rule punished hard, not for players who need long-term progression.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.

Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.
