LISA
A crude, bleak side-scrolling RPG that charges you actual party members and body parts for progress, then never lets you undo the bill. Wonderful, if you can stomach it.
GamerScout Verdict
Best for RPG players who want dark comedy with permanent consequences, not a balanced combat system.
Compare Prices(5 stores)
Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About LISA
Earthbound proved a turn-based RPG could be funny and quietly sad. LISA keeps the jokes and drops the 'quietly'. You play Brad, dragging a party of misfits across a ruined side-scrolling wasteland, and the game constantly asks you to pay for progress with party members, body parts, and whatever dignity you have left. Most of those choices are permanent. Combat is the rough part. Button-string combos get repetitive and the difficulty spikes lean on grinding. What LISA does exceptionally well is make its mechanics hurt: losing an arm actually changes how you fight, and recruiting three dozen oddballs only to watch them get taken away lands harder than any cutscene could. The pixel art is deliberately ugly, the humor is crude, and the tone swings hard between slapstick and misery. Go in for a bleak comedy that punishes you for getting attached. Skip it if you want a fair, tidy RPG.
