Liminal Border Part III

I went in knowing Liminal Border Part III is the third chapter of Purple Software's ongoing visual novel saga, and it assumes you've read the first two entries. The story picks up with Itsuki's nightclub business finally gaining traction while he schemes to dismantle the Umon-kai yakuza faction. The cast expands to include Meryl Hathaway, introduced as a counterweight to the gang's brutality. If you're coming fresh, you'll feel lost, this isn't a standalone entry. What works here is straightforward: if you loved Parts I and II, you get more of the same methodical, dialogue-heavy storytelling with branching choices that ripple through a tight ensemble cast. The writing leans hard on character interaction over action beats. If you're not already invested in these people, the slow pacing and dense Japanese-game-to-English translation quirks may test your patience. Cloud saves are a practical inclusion for a story-heavy game. Come for continuity, stay for character depth, or skip it if you haven't finished the previous chapters.
