Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name Deluxe Edition

I appreciate what Gaiden does: it takes Kazuma Kiryu's faked-death story and runs with it as a lean action romp instead of another 60-hour saga. The combat system is sharp, the brawling feels weighty, and there's enough environmental destruction to make street fights visceral. You're punching through Tokyo in a focused narrative that respects your time. The trade-off is obvious, this is deliberately smaller in scope than mainline Yakuza games. If you need hundreds of minigames and a bloated story to feel satisfied, you'll find Gaiden sparse. But if you've been burned out by the series' kitchen-sink design and just want pure action with a coherent plot, this nails it. It's a palate cleanser that proves the formula works better lean.
