DLC characters slot into existing class structures, which means they inherit whatever ability upgrades you've already unlocked via Kyber Bricks. In practice, the Death Trooper fits into a heavy-weapons role and the Incinerator Stormtrooper brings the flamethrower aesthetic you'd expect. The Range Trooper, Shoretrooper, and Mimban Stormtrooper are harder to distinguish in actual play - they're stormtrooper variants with stormtrooper playstyles. The mechanical differentiation across all five is thinner than it should be for a paid add-on. The honest criticism of this pack, which was floating around before it even launched, is that it occupies a DLC slot that could have gone to characters with genuinely distinct kits - The Clone Wars and Rebels were both left out of the base roster entirely, and those shows have characters whose abilities would have made for more interesting moment-to-moment play. Five trooper skins feel like a choice made for a segment of the audience that wants a complete Imperial collection, not for anyone who wants more gameplay variety. Worth flagging: the Trooper Pack is included in the Deluxe and Galactic Editions of the base game. If you already own either of those, you have this content.
