Land of Zympaia The New Light

I picked up Land of Zympaia expecting the usual progression-loop indie fare: farm, gather, build, repeat. What I found was a barebones survival RPG that strips away context entirely. You begin as a farmer with zero explanation of world state, story, or objectives. Mechanics exist (farming, presumably combat or trading), but the game doesn't scaffold them. No tutorial, minimal UI guidance, achievement list as your only breadcrumb. It's less "intentional difficulty" and more "figure it out yourself because we didn't." The core loop might sustain 5-10 hours if you're the type who enjoys numbersmithing in isolation, but there's no compelling reason to push past early grinding. No strategic depth, no multiplayer, no mod scene to rescue it. For players who loved Stardew or Story of Seasons and want hardcore survival, this misses the mark. For everyone else, it's a hard pass.
