A cosmetic upgrade for IllFonic's 7v3 asymmetric horror game, worth sizing up only if you're already sold on the base experience and want two extra human faces and a handful of Klown skins.

I'll be straight with you: this listing is a DLC upgrade pack, not the base game. What you're buying is two additional human characters, Mike and Debbie, pulled from the 1988 cult film, two Junksuit Klown skins, the movie-accurate Bibbo Klown skin, a digital soundtrack, and a digital art book. If you haven't already formed an opinion on the base game underneath all this, that's the conversation worth having first. The base game it sits on top of is a 7v3 asymmetric multiplayer experience where three Klowns hunt seven humans across maps like Downtown, The Suburbs, and Amusement Park. The human side picks from five archetypes, Athletic, Rebellious, Heroic, Resourceful, and Tough, each tuned differently for speed, combat, or utility. What sets this apart from the Dead by Daylight template is that humans can genuinely fight back. You can find shotguns, revolvers, baseball bats, and frying pans scattered across the map and take the fight directly to the Klowns, who go down fast if you land shots on their noses for critical hits. Aim your airhorn to stun them, break out of cotton candy cocoons with a sharp object, or just sprint, humans are slightly faster on foot. On the Klown side, you get weapons like the mallet and the popcorn bazooka, a map-wide teleport power that unlocks mid-match, and the ability to cocooned humans to Lackey generators to trigger the Klownpocalypse. Klowntalities, cinematic finishing moves that recreate moments from the film, are a genuine highlight. The balance question is genuinely interesting. Reviewers landed mostly in the 7-8 range at launch, with several noting that a full human lobby coordinating over proximity chat is tense and chaotic in the best way. The concern, then and now, is population. Asymmetric games live and die by matchmaking numbers, and this one needs a full ten-player lobby to sing. Bot fill-ins are weak, they ignore escape objectives and exist mainly as fodder. Launch bugs included hard crashes, glitched objectives, and matches that simply refused to end, some of which burned 20-plus minutes of player time with nothing to show for it. Whether patches have cleaned that up matters a lot for the current state of play, which is worth checking community threads for before spending anything. As a cosmetic pack, Mike and Debbie give movie fans something to feel good about. The Bibbo skin in particular is a faithful recreation, and IllFonic's art direction for the Klown models is genuinely impressive, creepy, vibrant, and clearly made by people who respect the source material. The soundtrack and art book are bonus noise for collectors, not reasons to buy. If you already own the base game and want to dress up your roster with faces from the film, this pack is a reasonable extras grab at a discount. If you're debating the whole package cold, start with the base game and only come back here if the gameplay loop earns another 15 hours from you. Fred, Scout Team
