Jrago II Guardians of Eden

I spent my first hour with Jrago II lost, which was the entire point. This is a Metroidvania that doesn't mark quest objectives or draw arrows to your next checkpoint. You and a friend explore side-by-side, collecting powers that unlock new areas, solving environmental puzzles that click only when you stop rushing. The pixel art is clean and intentional, character sprites have weight, backgrounds breathe. The soundtrack sits in that moody indie space where atmospheric actually means something. What works: local co-op is built-in and feels natural, not bolted on. Moment-to-moment combat is snappy enough to carry you through demon encounters. What falters: the game is small and unafraid to let you wander in circles if you miss a secret passage. That's a feature if you have patience, a frustration if you want signposting. For two players who value exploration over efficiency, this quiet little platformer earns its place.
