For adventure-game veterans willing to embrace 2008 jank in exchange for genuine charm and weird puzzle logic.

About Jack Keane
Jack Keane is a throwback to when adventure games meant inventory puzzles, pixel-hunting, and a protagonist you tolerated because the story was weird enough to stick around for. You play a sailor caught up in a treasure hunt across exotic locales, clicking your way through inventory combinations and dialogue trees. The humor lands more often than it misses, and there's a real sense of adventure in how the game structures its mysteries. What holds it back is technical jank that was apparent even in 2008. Voice acting ranges from endearing to grating, animations are stiff, and some puzzle solutions feel arbitrary rather than logical. If you've got patience for adventure-game logic and don't mind a game that looks its age, there's a solid weekend here. Just don't expect it to revolutionize anything.
