Best for shmup fans curious about a creative twist on dodge-focused formula; skip if you want traditional bullet-hell intensity.

About Izanami's Dream Battle
Izanami's Dream Battle flips the usual bullet-hell script. Instead of weaving through walls of projectiles, you're designing them. The premise is lean: Izanami uses a magical stone to manifest her thoughts as danmaku patterns, and you're essentially playing conductor to her imagination. It's a bite-sized action game that won't demand your weekend, but if you're burnt out on traditional shmups and want something conceptually different, this scratches that itch. The trade-off is obvious: this is a small indie project from 2016 with the polish and depth you'd expect from that era and scope. Controller support and cloud saves are there, achievements give you goals if you care about them. It's not going to reinvent the genre, but it's a solid left-turn from the genre norm. Worth a shot if you're curious about pattern-creation mechanics over pattern-avoidance.
