I went in expecting a management sim with some teeth, and Innchanted delivers more of a casual minigame collection. You're running a magical inn alongside up to three friends, which means splitting time between brewing potions, fishing for ingredients, cooking meals, and occasional combat encounters. The co-op scaling works, and controller support is solid across all modes. The problem is that none of these systems demand real decision-making. Potion recipes are straightforward, cooking timers are forgiving, and combat is button-mashing filler. There's no resource crunch that forces you to prioritize, no long-term building strategy. It's entertaining for a weekend of couch co-op with friends who want something low-stress, but solo play exposes how thin the core loop is. Best suited for groups who treat it as a hangout game rather than something to optimize.
