About Infected Dawn
It wants your patience before it wants anything else. Infected Dawn hands you a hideout, a shrinking supply of daylight, and a 3D point-and-click world where every cabinet searched is time not spent fortifying. That tension is the whole design, and it works. Scavenging runs feel deliberate rather than twitchy, and the moment you realize you have overcommitted to one building while the horde clock ticks is genuinely sharp. The single-player structure is tight enough that a failed run teaches you something instead of just punishing you. Where it thins out is texture. This is a small solo-scale production and it shows in the sparse environmental detail and a soundscape that supports the dread without ever quite haunting you. Repeat runs surface the seams in the item tables faster than I wanted. But it knows its own length, does not pad, and ends before the loop wears through. For anyone who likes resource anxiety more than combat, that restraint counts for a lot.
