IDIOT
A one-evening walk through a state-approved paradise where meals come out of cartridges and night falls on command. Strong premise, thin interaction, mixed results.
GamerScout Verdict
Worth an evening for players who like small, concept-first dystopian adventures and can forgive thin puzzle design.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About IDIOT
Picture the opening stretch of BioShock, back when Rapture still sounds like a reasonable place to live, and strip out every gun. That is roughly where IDIOT sets up shop: a small utopian island where meals come out of cartridges, night falls whenever you decide you want it to, and the state has kindly pre-explained why everywhere else is worse. It is a short adventure about poking at that story until it creaks, not about shooting your way out of it. What works is the mood and the premise. The cartridge food and on-demand nightfall are smart, cheap shorthand for a life someone else designed for you. What doesn't: it is short, the writing lands unevenly, and the interaction is mostly walking and reading rather than solving. The mixed Steam reception reads about right to me. Worth an evening if concept-driven indie sci-fi is your thing, thin if you want puzzles with teeth.
