About Hunting The Hunter
I spent a couple hours with Hunting The Hunter expecting a survival sim or Alien-style stalker experience. Instead, I got something caught between a walking simulator and a narrative adventure that doesn't quite commit to either. You're playing a woman lost in woods being pursued by a killer, uncovering disappearances along the way. The premise has real potential, but the execution feels thin. Mechanical depth is minimal, there's little build strategy or decision-making architecture here, which is usually where I find engagement. The tension relies entirely on narrative and atmosphere, neither of which lands hard enough to carry a 2-3 hour runtime. This is a casual indie title that works best if you want atmospheric dread without systemic complexity. No mod ecosystem, no replayability hooks, no reason to return after credits roll. It's lean, straightforward, and honestly feels more like a proof-of-concept than a finished product. If you're hunting for a tight narrative thriller, look elsewhere first. Diego, Scout Team
