Hunt: Showdown 1896 - Northern Justice
A cosmetic DLC pack for one of the tightest extraction shooters around, Northern Justice drops a Mountie hunter and two period-accurate weapons into Hunt's punishing PvPvE bayou. Worth it if you're already hooked; skip it if you haven't bought the base game yet.
GamerScout Verdict
Solid pick for active Hunt players who want a thematically tight hunter pack; meaningless until you're already invested in the base game.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

About Hunt: Showdown 1896 - Northern Justice
I've spent enough time in Hunt's fog-soaked maps to know that the cosmetic DLC question always comes down to one thing: does it add personality, or is it just another skin? Northern Justice lands closer to the former. The Mountie, built around Sergeant Jeffrey Forsyth, a Canadian Mounted Police officer dragged into Hunt's secret monster war against his better judgment, is one of the more narratively coherent hunter concepts Crytek has shipped. The backstory isn't just flavor text padding; it actually justifies the loadout choices in a way that feels deliberate. The two weapons included, the Tarnished Record (a Winfield M1876 Centennial rifle with a worn, well-traveled look) and the Crimson Fist (a Scottfield Model 3 Brawler tuned for both close-range brawling and mid-range shots), fit right into Hunt's period-accurate arsenal. The Scottfield Brawler in particular is a weapon that rewards aggressive, close-quarters play, which suits the Mountie's lawman-who-refuses-to-wait character. Rounding out the pack is the Royal Standard ammo box, a consumable that completes the thematic set without overpromising on gameplay impact. Here's the honest part: none of this changes how Hunt: Showdown 1896 plays. The base game is an extraction shooter that sits in genuinely uncomfortable territory for newcomers. It demands patience for slow, methodical map control and then punishes one wrong decision with total gear loss. The tension of burning bodies so the Necromancer perk can not resurrect a downed enemy behind you is the kind of paranoid systems thinking the game is built on. That learning curve is steep, the community is skilled, and solo play is noticeably harder than rolling with a coordinated duo or trio in Bounty Hunt mode. Northern Justice does nothing to soften any of that, nor should it. What it does do is give dedicated players a hunter concept with real visual coherence and a pair of weapons that feel earned rather than random. For a live-service game that keeps pulling players back with cosmetic releases, this one is among the more thoughtfully assembled packs. If you are already logging sessions, the Mountie fits right into Hunt's gritty aesthetic without clashing with the bayou and Colorado mountain settings. If you are on the fence about the base game itself, sort that out first because no DLC pack fixes a 40-plus hour skill investment.
