The pixel art is clean without being cute, and the chiptune soundtrack sits perfectly in that space between pastiche and genuine craft. It's short-session design done right, no bloat, no narrative padding, just the core loop refined. Tate mode (vertical screen orientation) shows real respect for the arcade roots. The 78 Metacritic reflects solid, straightforward execution rather than reinvention, and that's exactly what this game is: an honest wave shooter for people who miss actual arcade challenge.
