I went in expecting a straight dating sim, but HoneyHoneyHoney! is more interested in the world-building behind why these relationships are taboo. The premise is genuinely intriguing: in a society with strict legal separation, you're navigating three different romantic paths, each revealing different layers of why the status quo exists. The writing carries that mystery through most of the routes, and the character interactions feel earned rather than rushed. The trade-off is pacing. This is a visual novel that expects you to sit with dialogue and let scenes breathe, which works great if you're into narrative-heavy games but will test your patience if you want snappier storytelling. It's indie in scope, so don't expect voice acting or animation outside static screens. If you like relationship-building stories with a twist on the usual dating-game setup, it's worth your time. If you need faster feedback loops or high production values, skip it.
