Hohokum

I spent my first hour with Hohokum just drifting, watching how this kite-thing moves through space. There's no pressure here, no timers, no failure states. You explore pastel-colored worlds, interact with strange characters, solve gentle puzzles by discovery rather than instruction. The pixel art feels intentional, almost tactile, and the ambient soundscape never intrudes. It's less "game" and more "interactive meditation," the kind of thing that works precisely because it trusts you to find meaning in small interactions. This isn't for everyone, and it knows that. The pacing is slow, the goals aren't spelled out, and some puzzles require real patience to parse. But if you value mood, artwork, and the feeling of genuine exploration over traditional progression, Hohokum respects that sensibility completely. A short, focused experience that ends before it wears out its welcome.
