About Heroes of Might & Magic IV (Complete Edition)
If Heroes of Might & Magic III is the series' comfort food, HOMM IV is the entry that swapped the recipe: heroes step onto the combat grid as actual units, armies can march without a hero at all, and each town picks between two competing creature lines instead of stacking all of them. The Complete Edition wraps the base game together with The Gathering Storm and Winds of War, which matters more here than in most bundles. Those two expansions are where the campaign content and extra map variety live, not cosmetic filler. Who should take the package: anyone curious about the black sheep of the series, or a returning player who bounced off the thin launch campaign roster. The expansions are the reason to bother, since Winds of War adds new campaigns built around the alignments the base game underserved, and Gathering Storm pads out the scenario pool. Nobody needs a standard edition here. The base game alone is the weaker deal. Just know you are buying the divisive one, and its AI still takes its time.
