HELL OF FEAR: Mind Breach
Ninety minutes of genuinely excellent corridor dread, followed by an hour of the same corridor. Play it for the sound design, forgive the ending stretch.
GamerScout Verdict
Best for sci-fi horror fans who want one great atmospheric evening and won't mind a limp final act.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About HELL OF FEAR: Mind Breach
The sound design carries this entire game, and it earns that weight. Abyss Assembly built a derelict deep-space station where every hull groan and distant scrape is placed with real intent, and the mix rewards headphones more than most horror at this scale. There are almost no cheap jump scares. Instead you get resource scarcity doing the heavy lifting: counting what you have left, deciding whether a corridor is worth crossing twice, listening before you move. Adjustable difficulty means you can tune the scarcity if bookkeeping isn't your idea of tension, and the camera comfort options are a nice touch for a game that spends so long in tight spaces. Where it falls apart is the back third. The vocabulary of threats and puzzles is fully deployed within the first hour, and the campaign keeps going anyway, recycling beats until dread curdles into routine. It's short, which helps, but the padding is obvious once you notice it. Controller support is partial, so mouse and keyboard is the safer bet. Worth playing if atmospheric sci-fi horror is your thing and you accept a strong opening over a strong finish.
