GUNDAM BREAKER 4 Season Pass
Five post-credits story packs and a Gunbarrel Strike Gundam parts bonus, all for a base game that already walks a fine line between addictive loot grinder and repetitive mission slog.

About GUNDAM BREAKER 4 Season Pass
I want to be upfront about what you are actually buying here: this is a Season Pass for a loot-driven mech action RPG where the moment-to-moment appeal lives almost entirely in the customisation workshop, not the writing. The base game, Gundam Breaker 4, puts you inside a game-within-a-game beta called GUNPLA Battle Blaze: Beyond Borders, and its five DLC mission packs, titled GO! RESTART!!, BRAVE DIVE, BATTLE TOURNAMENT, BATTLE FIERCELY, and BEYOND BORDERS, continue that storyline as a direct sequel to the main campaign. Each pack delivers two to three story missions plus a quest mission, and the first one introduces new Mobile Suits including the Crossbone Gundam X1 Full Cloth, Penelope, Sengoku Astray Gundam, and 00 Qan[T] Full Saber. The bonus thrown in is a full set of parts to reconstruct the Gunbarrel Strike Gundam (Gundam Breaker Ver.), which, yes, can be mixed and matched with every other part you have collected. The honest question is whether the base game earns this kind of continued investment. The core loop, where you break parts off enemy suits mid-combat and fold them into your own increasingly deranged hybrid creation, holds up surprisingly well across many hours. You can equip two melee weapons and two ranged weapons independently, synthesise parts you like onto better stat lines, and paint everything down to weathering scratches. The Diorama Mode, while not what I came here for personally, is genuinely deep and gives Gunpla obsessives a separate creative outlet beyond combat. What the base game struggles with is mission structure: stages follow a familiar wave-and-boss rhythm that critics across the board described as repetitive fairly early, and the story itself, while serviceable, is a lightweight anime-friendship narrative aimed at a broad audience rather than the kind of layered world-building that keeps me personally up until 2am. That context matters for the Season Pass because post-game story DLC in a game like this is only compelling if the writing has left you with unresolved threads or character relationships you genuinely care about. Gundam Breaker 4 does build some decent character work around its central trio and drops a few mysteries that feel underdeveloped by the credits, so there is a real argument that these five packs are exactly the payoff some players will want. For the Gunpla collector side of the audience, the new Mobile Suits per pack represent fresh parts to absorb into your build, which has direct gameplay relevance beyond cosmetics. The practical caveat, and it is a meaningful one, is that all five DLC packs were slated to release on a rolling schedule through August 2025, meaning depending on when you are reading this, some content may still be dripping out rather than available all at once. Each pack can also be purchased individually after release, so the Season Pass is only the smart buy if you already know you are in for the long haul on this game. If you bounced off the base game's repetition before finishing the main campaign, no amount of new Mobile Suits is going to fix that. Monika, Scout Team
