Guardians Frontline
A VR wave-defense hybrid that nails the tactile joy of planting turrets under fire, then runs out of strategic decisions well before the campaign runs out of aliens.
GamerScout Verdict
Best for VR owners who want a shooter with light commander duties, not strategy players hunting real build-order depth.
Compare Prices(2 stores)
Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Guardians Frontline
Sanctum figured out the tower-defense-plus-shooter blend on flatscreen years ago. Guardians Frontline hauls it into a headset and bolts on a commander role: drop turrets and barricades, spawn AI squadmates, then shoulder a rifle and plug the breach yourself. That last part is where it earns its keep. Physically slapping a turret onto a build node while a wave closes in reads better than any drag-and-drop build menu I have used. Depth is the problem. Build orders barely branch, resource decisions resolve themselves inside two waves, and the enemy AI mostly walks into the lane you already pointed your guns at. The campaign, cross-play co-op and the PvP mode stretch it further than the systems deserve, and the tutorial is genuinely patient with newcomers, which VR strategy rarely is. Go in treating it as a shooter with a strategy garnish rather than the reverse and it lands well.
