For tactical RPG fans only, solid systems buried under rough edges and mediocre execution.

About Grimshade
I spent enough time with Grimshade to see what TALEROCK was reaching for: a genuine tactical RPG with party-building options and meaningful combat decisions. The turn-based system rewards positioning and ability synergy, and the story leans into genuine war-zone morality rather than anime tropes. That's the good half. The bad half is unvarnished: the UI is clunky, the localization has teeth-grinding typos, and the pacing drags in ways that feel like design oversight rather than deliberate. Metacritic's 53 reflects this split fairly. If you're someone who can look past rough presentation to find the tactical bones underneath, Grimshade offers 20-30 hours of actual party-building problems to solve. If you need polish to stay invested, move on.
