GamerScout Verdict
A tight arcade roguelike for players who want fast respawns and fresh layouts over character arcs.

About Good Robot
Good Robot grabbed me immediately with its simple pitch: shoot everything, die, restart with a different layout. The procedural generation keeps runs fresh, and the combat has real feedback - guns feel meaty, explosions register. The sci-fi setting leans into corporate satire without overdoing it, which is refreshing for an indie shooter. The catch: this is pure arcade roguelike, not an RPG in the traditional sense. Build variety exists through weapon pickups and modifiers, but there's minimal narrative payoff or character progression between runs. The Metacritic score reflects a solid but niche experience - great for score-chasers and bullet-hell fans, thin if you're hunting story or long-term progression hooks. It knows what it is and doesn't pretend otherwise.
