GamerScout Verdict
Gorgeous visual novel for readers who accept linear storytelling and don't need player agency to enjoy a moody narrative.

About Geminism
I went in expecting a branching narrative where my choices mattered. Instead, Geminism is a linear visual novel with gorgeous hand-drawn art and a dark premise about two pairs of twins entangled in conflict and desire. The story moves at its own pace; you're reading, not deciding. If you're comfortable being a passenger through someone else's tale, the production quality and moody Tokyo setting have real appeal. The art is the standout, lush and detailed in a way that elevates the melodrama. The catch: zero player agency means no replay value, and the pacing assumes you're fine with long stretches of dialogue and internal monologue. It's a solid one-sitting read if you vibe with visual novels as literature rather than games. Not for anyone hunting for meaningful choices or multiple endings.
