About Games Of Glory - Byorn Pack
Before you click anything, one hard fact: this is a DLC pack for Games of Glory, a free-to-play top-down arena shooter by Lightbulb Crew. The base game costs nothing. What you are buying here is access to Byorn, a Support-class clone, along with 450 Soldi - the in-game currency - which is roughly enough to grab one cosmetic accessory of your choice. If you already own the base game and have decided Byorn is your main, this is a clean, focused unlock. If you are still deciding whether you want to play Games of Glory at all, download the base game first. So what is Games of Glory, and why does Byorn matter in it? The core product sits somewhere between Battlerite and League of Legends' old Dominion mode - a no-laning, objective-capture arena where two teams of five (or three in the smaller Svandia map) contest control points to strip the enemy's shields and expose their Energy Core. There are no creeps to farm and no laning phase to sit through. Matches are action-forward from the first second. Clones operate on a three-ability kit plus a weapon system that replaces traditional item builds: you pre-select one ranged and one melee weapon, then switch between them live during a fight. Ranged options consume an energy bar, melee does not, which creates a genuine pull-push rhythm that rewards positioning reads over raw click speed. Byorn sits firmly in the Support role. His Tactical Link tethers to an ally and bumps their attack speed, or latches to an enemy to slow theirs - reactivating the ability swaps his position with the target, which is the single most decision-dense mechanic in his kit and will punish lazy use hard. Medpacks auto-target the weakest ally in range, removing one layer of micro stress. His Impregnable Barrier throws up a zone-wide shield, which in a game with full skillshot combat and no auto-attacks translates directly into team fights won or lost. He is not a passive healbot; he is a tempo tool. The base game itself drew mixed-to-lukewarm community feedback. The weapon upgrade system replacing traditional MOBA items was broadly praised for lowering the barrier to entry. The onboarding for new players was criticised - class roles and character selection screens were confusing enough that even experienced MOBA players reported losing several minutes at the lobby screen. Map variety was a persistent complaint, with most PvP sessions funnelling into a single arena. The Superstar mode - a protect-the-VIP variant where one randomly assigned player is the win condition - was considered the game's most genuinely interesting mode but showed up rarely in matchmaking rotation. Taken together, the base game was a lean, mechanically distinct shooter that struggled to hold a player base long enough to fully justify its ideas. For someone committed to the Support role and willing to learn Byorn's position-swap timing, this pack is a sensible shortcut past the grind of unlocking him through Soldi accumulation. For everyone else, start with the free client and confirm the game still has active lobbies in your region before spending anything. Diego, Scout Team
