FTL: Advanced Edition
A roguelike spaceship sim where every jump could be your last, and losing a 20-hour crew to one bad boarding party never stops stinging.
GamerScout Verdict
Best for players who want tense, permadeath spaceship management with runs short enough to jump right back in.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About FTL: Advanced Edition
Roguelike fans who like consequences that stick are the audience here. FTL puts you in charge of a single ship's crew, managing shields, oxygen, and weapon power in real time while pausing combat to issue orders mid-fight. Every jump through the galaxy risks an ambush, a hull breach, or a crew member dying in a fire you didn't seal off fast enough, and losing that crew means starting the run over from scratch. The Advanced Edition content layers in extra systems like hacking, mind control, and a cloning bay, plus a new alien race and more random events, on top of the same tense, thinky ship-to-ship combat. It's punishing by design, and that's the point: runs are short enough that a bad death costs you an hour, not a weekend. Players allergic to permadeath or randomness should skip it; everyone else will find a management sim with real teeth.
