Flashback 2

I went in expecting pure action, but Flashback 2 is really a deliberate puzzle-platformer wrapped in a Morphs-versus-humanity wrapper. You're working through interconnected environments solving environmental challenges and combat encounters that reward patience over reflexes. The rotoscoped animation gives it a distinctive look, though it demands you learn enemy patterns rather than button-mash. Backtracking is frequent and the pacing feels deliberately slow-burn. This is a game for players who miss the mechanical depth of 90s action-adventures, not for anyone chasing arcade thrills. It's niche, uncompromising, and occasionally frustrating when puzzles overcomplicate what should be straightforward progression. If you vibe with that era's sensibilities and don't mind a deliberate pace, there's something here. Everyone else should probably pass.
