Featherpunk Prime

Featherpunk Prime is a smaller action title from Super Hatch Games that doesn't take itself seriously, and that's kind of the point. The premise is quirky enough to catch your eye, but the actual moment-to-moment gameplay is where things get rough around the edges. It's the kind of game that feels like it was made by people having fun rather than following a design document, which means wild ideas sit next to clunky controls and uneven difficulty spikes. If you're the type who appreciates indie oddities and can forgive rough polish for personality, it might click for you. Everyone else should probably move on. The game has its charms, but they're buried under a layer of 2016 indie jank that hasn't aged particularly well.
