About Farming Simulator 22 - Hay & Forage Pack (DLC)
Farming Simulator 22 is a deep agricultural management sim where you run every variable of a working farm, from soil prep to final sale. The Hay and Forage Pack is a tight equipment expansion, not a content drop, so before anything else you need to be honest with yourself: are you already deep enough into FS22 that you have opinions about forage wagons and tedder efficiency? If yes, read on. If you are still figuring out why your grain auger is empty, put this one in the wishlist and come back later. The pack adds nine licensed machines focused specifically on grass, hay, and silage workflows. The lineup includes Krone and Fendt hardware, covering mowers, tedders, swathers, and forage wagons. For players who have optimized their crop rotations and are now bottlenecked by the throughput of their grass-to-silage pipeline, these machines meaningfully expand what you can do. The Krone BiG X forage harvester in the base game has always been capable, but the additional wagon and conditioning options here let you build a more granular and efficient chain. If you run a dedicated livestock operation where silage bales represent real daily income, the upgrade in capacity and animation quality is noticeable. What works: the machines are accurately modeled, licensed hardware that behaves with the same physics fidelity the base game built its reputation on. Giants has been consistent about that across every DLC pack, and this one does not break the streak. The forage wagons in particular have solid fill animations and proper unloading behavior that makes the workflow feel less like a chore and more like a system you can optimize. From a pure numbers standpoint, the capacity gains on the new wagons over mid-tier base-game equivalents are worth running the math on if silage is a primary income source in your current save. What does not work as well: nine machines is a modest roster, and if your farming focus is arable crops, root vegetables, or orchard production, this pack adds essentially nothing to your session. The DLC also does not introduce new gameplay loops, contracts, or map content, so newcomers expecting fresh scenarios will be disappointed. It is a toolbox expansion, not a feature expansion. Mod users should also check compatibility before buying, since some of the community's most popular forage and grass mods already cover similar ground and are free via the in-game mod hub. For strategy-minded players who treat their farm like a logistics puzzle, the Hay and Forage Pack is a reasonable investment once your operation has scaled to the point where equipment constraints are the actual limiting factor. Approach it like a targeted upgrade to a specific department in your production chain, not a reason to start a new save. Diego, Scout Team
