Factory Manager
A lean business sim where you bootstrap a factory from debt and desperation, small scope, spreadsheet depth, and actual consequence for poor planning.
GamerScout Verdict
A compact business sim for players who want real economic pressure without 200-hour time commitment.

About Factory Manager
Factory Manager strips away the flash and asks one hard question: can you run a manufacturing operation without going broke? You start with a loan, hire workers, buy machinery, and optimize production chains to fulfill orders. The decision loop is tight, resource allocation, recipe selection, loan management, and risk mitigation force genuine trade-offs. Hire too many staff early and you hemorrhage cash. Underprice goods and you're trapped. The game respects your time by keeping runs contained and readable. This is a B-tier sim with rough edges. The UI is functional but dated, and there's no narrative or ambient depth to distract you from the numbers. That's the point. If you've played Offworld Trading Company or any Paradox title and wanted something smaller and more forgiving, Factory Manager fills that niche. Don't expect hundreds of hours or complex emergent systems; expect a few good runs where you either nail profitability or learn why you didn't. Best for players who think in spreadsheets and want meaningful failure without permadeath punishment.
