Faces of Illusion: The Twin Phantoms

I've played enough hidden-object games to know what to expect: find stuff, solve puzzles, unlock the story. Faces of Illusion wraps that formula in a magician's act, and the theming is genuinely charming at first. You're hunting for clues backstage at a traveling magic show, and the environments nail that grimy-glamour aesthetic. The illusion angle could have made this stand out, but the game treats it as window dressing rather than a core mechanic. The puzzle variety is decent for the genre (logic chains, symbol matching, inventory use), and the casual difficulty means nobody's getting stuck for hours. The real problem is narrative glue. The twin phantoms plot barely holds together, and by the midpoint you're just clicking through rooms because the story isn't compelling enough to carry you. It's a solid afternoon distraction if hidden-object games are your comfort genre, but there's nothing here that'll surprise you or stick around once you're done.
