About F1 2020 Deluxe Schumacher Edition
My Team is the best thing Codemasters ever bolted onto this series, and it's why F1 2020 still gets recommended. You build an eleventh constructor, hire a teammate, and balance sponsor money against R&D spending while clawing from backmarker to podium contender over multiple seasons. The driving underneath holds up too: weighty, tyre-aware handling that rewards smooth inputs, with enough assists and shortened race formats that a controller is perfectly fine. The Schumacher content is more of a garnish. A handful of his classic cars, including the 1991 Jordan and the Benetton title winners, plus F2 machinery and some exhibition events. Fun for an evening, thin after that. The real problem is the calendar: a 2020 grid, 2020 regulations, and later entries that iterate on the same ideas. If the Schumacher cars are specifically what you want, this edition is the only door in. Otherwise you're getting a very good racing game that stopped moving years ago.
