GamerScout Verdict
Solid for a quick session, but too shallow to hold attention beyond the first evening.

About Exodus: Creepy Time
I spent a few hours with Exodus: Creepy Time expecting a roguelike with staying power, and instead found a straightforward arcade shooter wrapped in medieval window dressing. You pick a knight, blast through waves of enemies from above, grab power-ups, and either progress or restart. The core loop works fine for 20-minute sessions, but there's not much variation between runs to pull you back. Enemy patterns feel samey, upgrades don't dramatically shift how you play, and the difficulty ramps by throwing more bodies at you rather than smarter threats. Where it doesn't overstay its welcome, Exodus scratches a simple itch: mindless top-down shooting with controller support and achievements to chase. If you're looking for a roguelike with branching builds or narrative hooks, keep walking. If you want something to mellow out with for an evening, it's inoffensive background entertainment. Just don't expect much meat on these bones.
