Existentia
A first-person puzzle-adventure where you wake up with no memory in a mysterious facility. If walking simulators with environmental storytelling appeal to you, this 2016 indie might scratch that itch.
GamerScout Verdict
For fans of low-key first-person mystery games willing to forgive rough indie presentation.

About Existentia
Existentia drops you into a nameless facility with amnesia as your only backstory. You'll explore claustrophobic corridors and puzzle-filled rooms, piecing together who you are and why you're trapped here. The game leans hard on environmental clues and light puzzle-solving rather than combat or action, so it's firmly in the walking simulator camp, exploration IS the story. The premise has legs, but execution feels thin. The facility design doesn't quite hold interest across the runtime, and puzzles lack the cleverness that would make backtracking worthwhile. This is a low-budget indie from 2016, and it shows in pacing and presentation. If you're hungry for any first-person mystery with a philosophical bent and don't mind rough edges, it's worth a shot during a slow week. Otherwise, there are stronger entries in this space.
