Ten more escape rooms for players who burned through the base game and immediately wanted more. The Season Pass is where Escape Academy earns its full runtime.

I came into this as someone who usually has zero patience for puzzle-adjacent content sold separately, so take that as context. Escape Academy already had a reputation for being over too quickly, and the Season Pass exists precisely to fix that. Two full DLC packs, five rooms each, ten rooms total. That is the pitch, and it mostly delivers. Escape from Anti-Escape Island, the first of the two packs, is the sharper one. The rooms are first-person, point-and-click style, and Coin Crew dialed the difficulty up noticeably from the base game. You're picking up objects, reading environmental clues, and connecting them to combination locks, cipher pads, and mechanical puzzles under a countdown timer that flashes red to remind you it is not your friend. The abstract puzzle design in a few rooms crosses from satisfying to genuinely frustrating, where you know the answer lives somewhere in the room but the connection between clue and solution is not clean. The final level shipped with a reported clue accuracy issue that the studio flagged for a fix, so check patch notes if you're going in blind. That aside, Anti-Escape Island is the stronger of the two packs, purely because the environments are entirely new, which keeps the sense of discovery intact. Escape from the Past, the second pack, is a whodunnit prequel starring younger versions of Sandra Solange and Eel Barnes, two faculty members from the base game. The murder mystery framing is a nice structural twist, and the climactic final level, which asks you to deduce the killer rather than just escape a room, is actually the best-executed finale in the whole game. The base game and Anti-Escape Island both ended with a rushed, esoteric time-pressure puzzle that felt disconnected from the rest of the design. Past fixes that. The tradeoff is that most of the five rooms recycle locations from the base game, which reviewers broadly called out as feeling like a cost-saving measure rather than a deliberate nostalgia play. The puzzles themselves still work, but if you want the fresh-environment high of Anti-Escape Island, Past delivers less of it. Difficulty also lands noticeably easier than the previous DLC, so veterans may feel the pressure drop. For co-op players, this is the real pitch. The game supports local and online co-op, and the room design rewards two players splitting environmental observations. The split-screen field of view is a minor annoyance in local play, but online runs the game on its best behavior for most players. Replay value is thin across the whole Escape Academy experience, including this pass, so go in knowing you're buying a four-to-six hour co-op session or a six-to-eight hour solo run, not something you'll revisit. If the base game left you wanting more rooms immediately, the Season Pass is the correct answer. Fred, Scout Team

GamerScout Verdict

Essential add-on for co-op puzzle fans who found the base game too short, with Anti-Escape Island edging out the prequel pack on raw quality.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.

Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.
