About Escape Academy: Escape From the Past
I spent a couple hours poking around Escape Academy's past iteration, and it's exactly what the DLC label suggests: a prequel episode with the same room-escape formula, now wrapped in a mystery whodunnit framing. You're solving logic puzzles, hunting for hidden clues, and unlocking doors in a themed environment. The co-op modes (online or split-screen) work well if you've got someone to bounce theories off. Solo play is fine but slower, since you're doing all the legwork yourself. The puzzle design is straightforward enough that you won't get stuck for hours, but there's no hand-holding either. If you bounced off the original Escape Academy, this won't change your mind. If you finished the base game and want more of the same in a tighter package, it's worth a weekend. Nothing revolutionary, but solid puzzle-adventure work.
