About Elven Legacy: Ranger (DLC)
New unit rosters and mission scenarios are the whole draw here: this pack drops fresh ranger-type units and a handful of additional campaign missions into the turn-based grid battles, but none of it functions on its own. You need the base Elven Legacy installed to load any of it, full stop. The store listing carries the exact roster of units and mission names, since that level of specificity isn't in what I've got in front of me, but the shape of the content is clear: more toys for the hex-grid skirmishes, not a new game. This is for completionists who already cleared the main campaign and want a reason to boot it back up, or players chasing every ranger unit type for skirmish variety. If you haven't played the base game, skip this entirely and start there first, there's nothing standalone to evaluate.
