Ego's Spark

I went in expecting a quirky robot story and found myself sitting with something unexpectedly earnest. Ego's Spark is a visual novel about artificial consciousness, but it's not interested in philosophy lectures or dystopian warnings. Instead, it focuses on how a newly-aware AI learns what it means to feel, expressed through conversations that feel naturally written rather than mechanical. The game is brief, maybe 2-3 hours depending on pacing, but it uses that constraint well. If you're looking for branching narratives with high replayability, this isn't it. It's a linear story with genuine emotional beats and a perspective on connection that rings true. Best suited for players who value writing quality and character work over puzzle-solving or action, and who aren't bothered by visual novels that prioritize warmth over spectacle.
