Black Salt Games have acknowledged that the Blackstone Key was originally intended to be part of bundled Deluxe Edition content, but publisher Team17 pulled it out as a separate purchasable add-on before launch. The Deluxe Edition on Steam does include it, so if you bought that bundle you already have these items and can stop reading. If you bought the standard edition and are considering a separate purchase, keep reading. The Arterial Engine is a compact early-game speed boost. Community consensus is that within roughly an hour of normal play it becomes outclassed by engines you can research and build through standard progression.
