GamerScout Verdict
A licensed platformer that doesn't justify its IP; better options exist for both kids and genre fans.

About DreamWorks Trolls Remix Rescue
I went in expecting a straightforward kids' platformer tied to the Trolls franchise, and that's technically what Trolls Remix Rescue delivers. You're jumping through levels, collecting items, and dealing with basic combat mechanics that feel stiff and imprecise. The art direction leans on the film's bright colors, but the level design is forgettable and the pacing drags even for its target audience. What kills it is the lack of polish. Platforming controls don't feel responsive, enemy encounters are tedious rather than challenging, and there's no sense of progression that makes you want to push forward. Licensed games live or die on whether they add something to the IP beyond "look, here are the characters." This one doesn't. Pass unless your kid is obsessed with the movies and has nothing else to play.
