Die In The Dark
A claustrophobic subway escape where you'll solve puzzles and dodge creatures in pitch-dark corridors, but the survival mechanics feel more thematic than threatening.

About Die In The Dark
I went in expecting a tense underground crawler and got something closer to an atmospheric walking simulator with teeth. Die in the Dark traps you in a subway system overrun with zombies, dogs, and unnamed horrors, then tasks you with navigating puzzle rooms and finding exits. The first-person perspective and creature encounters create genuine unease in tight spaces, and the puzzle design holds up, locks, codes, and environmental clues that require actual observation rather than trial-and-error. The catch: combat and evasion are paper-thin. You're not fighting; you're fleeing or hiding, which works for immersion but leaves the pacing uneven. Creature encounters feel scripted rather than emergent, and the overall campaign is short enough that momentum matters more than depth. This isn't a game that rewards mastery or multiple approaches. It's a one-shot experience for players who value atmosphere and puzzle-solving over systemic challenge. Diego, Scout Team
