Everything here hangs on the fact that your left hand and your right hand disagree. Devastator gives you fully decoupled movement and fire, then spends its runtime finding ways to punish you for letting the two drift back into sync. Radiangames has been building arcade twin-stick shooters for years, and this is the polished, modern-facing version: fluid at 120hz and above, clean at 4k, engineered so the screen can fill with threats without the frame pacing blinking. What you actually get is arcade, undiluted. Solo only, controller strongly preferred, achievements to chase, no narrative and nothing to fall back on when the reflexes go. If you want story or progression that lasts weeks, look elsewhere, because this runs dry fast for that kind of player. If you want twenty-minute sessions where you gradually stop thinking about the sticks and just react, it hits that better than most, with music and sound doing real work to keep the momentum up.
