Third attempt at the same locked office, and this time the vent worked. Not because I found a better gun, but because I'd finally spent points on leg strength and could reach the ledge I'd been ignoring for twenty minutes. That loop is the whole appeal of this collection: augmented protagonists, layered levels with four ways through each of them, and an upgrade economy that quietly decides what kind of player you become. Hack the turret or lug a crate to the skylight, talk the guard down or knock him out, and the game keeps score in ways you don't see until much later. Who it's for is easy. Anyone who likes conspiracy plots, dense levels, and systems that let you break them. Where it disappoints is just as clear. The older entries in the set show their age hard: stiff shooting, awkward menus, and boss encounters that dump a stealth build into a room with no vents. Expect to fiddle with settings and community patches before the PC versions behave. If you want a modern immersive sim with none of the friction, look elsewhere. If you want the games that invented the template, this is where they live.
