About Desert Thunder
Desert Thunder is pure B-list action: you pilot an experimental M1A6 tank through desert, urban, and industrial levels, blasting everything that moves. The premise is threadbare (military conflict, headlines, etc.) but the gameplay is straightforward arcade combat. No pretense, no story cutscenes eating your time, just level after level of tank-on-enemy encounters. It's the kind of game that existed in bulk during the early 2010s before indie studios figured out how to make cheap action games polished. What works is the core loop: aim, fire, survive. What doesn't is everything else. Graphics are dated, sound design is functional at best, and there's no multiplayer or challenge modes to extend playtime. At this price tier it's not trying to compete with AAA tank sims or modern indie shooters. If you're nostalgic for straightforward arcade action with zero flab, it exists. If you want anything more ambitious, keep scrolling.
